The company is located in Nirasca (a small hamlet of the town of Pieve di Teco), in the province of Imperia, at the heart of the Arroscia Valley, nestled in the mountainous area just above the road that leads from the Ligurian Sea to Piedmont.
We are located in the heart of the Ormeasco di Pornassio DOC, the smallest DOC in Liguria, with very characteristic and unique landscapes. The company's vineyards for this grape variety are all between 450 and 810 meters above sea level, just 25 km from the coast.

This very particular microclimate gives the wines a distinctive pleasantness, accompanied by intense fruity aromas and a very strong character; typical wines, closely linked to the territory, where cultivation is not at all easy: vineyards in the mountains with little mechanization of work, where the human factor is still decisive, especially for the role of guardian of the territory.
The company's vineyards cover almost 5 hectares, both owned and leased, all directly managed, meticulously controlling the entire production chain: the land, winemaking, and bottling.
The total number of bottles produced is approximately 35,000 bottles per year (depending on the vintage).
The wines produced are the whites of the Western Ligurian Riviera (DOC R.L.P.), namely Pigato, Vermentino, and Vermentino Superiore, made from the vineyards the company owns along the Ligurian coast, as well as Ormeasco di Pornassio in all its traditional and classic variations: the rosé version (named Ormeasco Sciac-trà), the red version, and finally the Superiore version. On the occasion of the twentieth anniversary, "Nirasco" was created, a cru of Ormeasco made from grapes coming from the "Villai" vineyard, a historic vineyard with plants ranging in age ranging from 20 to 60 years old, located in Nirasca.
At an altitude of 810 meters above sea level, it is the highest vineyard in the Ormeasco denomination and most likely the highest in the entire Liguria region. This wine is aged for 12 months in second- or third-passage barriques and tonneaux.
In addition, from this fantastic grape variety, a white wine is produced, the "Nirasco Bianco," made from red grapes harvested early. This wine ferments and ages entirely in stainless steel to enhance its freshness and pleasant drinkability.
The winery was founded with the goal of enhancing the territory and its traditions. From the very beginning, the company's philosophy has been based on quality, passion, and respect for the land.
After its establishment, the company structures itself operationally with the purchase of essential winemaking equipment. The investment includes the first stainless steel containers, crucial for ensuring hygiene and controlling the fermentation process.
The first harvest of the company is celebrated, a historic moment that marks the beginning of production. The first grapes harvested are Ormeasco and Vermentino, two varieties that are symbols of the territory.
The company begins the planting of a new vineyard in the "Villai" area, located at an altitude of 810 meters above sea level. This represents a significant agronomic challenge and an opportunity to produce wines of great freshness and elegance.
The company invests in wine aging with the purchase of the first wooden barrels. This decision marks a decisive step towards producing more complex and structured wines, capable of evolving over time.
After years of consolidation, the company expands its production by introducing the winemaking of Pigato. This indigenous Ligurian grape variety, known for its aromatic and mineral expression, becomes an integral part of the company's wine range.
The company receives its first major national recognition. The Ormeasco Superiore is awarded by the AIS Guide, confirming the high quality of the wine and the value of the work done in both the winery and the vineyards.
With an important restoration project, the company brings one hectare of ancient vineyards located in the Arroscia Valley back into production. This intervention preserves the historical viticultural heritage and enriches the production with grapes from highly valuable plants.
A prestigious public tasting is held in the council hall of the Municipality of Pieve di Teco. During the event, ten different vintages of Ormeasco Superiore are presented, offering an overview of the evolution and longevity of this wine.
The company further invests in the cultivation of Pigato by planting new vineyards. This decision strengthens the production of an increasingly appreciated grape variety that is representative of the territory.
A new generation enters the company with Nicolò Temesio, bringing freshness and new ideas. His arrival marks a moment of growth and continuity, with a keen focus on both innovation and tradition.
The Ormeasco Superiore once again receives the highest recognition from the Vitae AIS Guide. This success confirms the consistent quality of the wine and the company's prestige at the national level.
For the second time, Ormeasco Superiore stands out among Italy's wine excellence, achieving the highest score from the Vitae AIS Guide and solidifying the company's reputation.
After twenty years of experience and research, the first vinification of Ormeasco Nirasco - Selezione Ventennale is born. To celebrate the event, tastings and themed initiatives are organized, involving experts and enthusiasts.
The company introduces new tools for wine aging by purchasing a Clayer amphora and new barriques. The use of the amphora allows for the experimentation of more natural and traditional winemaking techniques, enriching the aromatic profile of the wines.
The first vinification of Vermentino Superiore begins, a new expression of this grape variety aimed at enhancing its characteristics of finesse and structure to the fullest.
The Ormeasco Nirasco - Selezione Ventennale receives the highest recognition from the Guida Vini Buoni d’Italia, the Corona. The award ceremony is held in Imola, confirming the excellence of this wine.
The company embarks on an innovative project with the first vinification of "Nirasco Bianco," made from red grapes. This unique technique opens new tasting perspectives and represents a fascinating oenological challenge.
